Feedback For An Item She Didn't Win?

Hi, have a bit of a weird thing.

This woman 'won' one of my items but hasn't paid and gone through unpaid item process. She was new and has 0 feedback but in the meantime she got 1 feedback for fast payment of an item as a buyer. So I looked at the feedback and it says 'view item' so I view the item and see that someone else won that item. So I asked the seller how did he leave feedback for this woman but he didn't understand me and thought I was complaining and asking him to give me a second chance offer (even though I never bid!) . He said that 1 person bid and paid and he sent it to them and although most of the ID is ***** out, the first and last letters/digits aren't the same as the person he left feedback for??

Am I missing something? How is this possible?

I think I'm as confused as the seller you emailed.:exclamati However the first and last letters are not used in a bidders id. Does that help?

Correct, the first and last letter of the ID is not the real ID of the member bidding. The stars in brackets are usually correct though.

Oh, I thought that would be it, but there are 3 *** but the ID is much longer than that :/ Maybe there is a maximum of 3 * ?

I meant the star rating/feedback which you can see next to each starred out ID, sorry.

Oh yes, I see what you mean, they both have 1 rating and are 'new'. This woman has bid on nearly 200 items but there aren't any details as then she wouldn't be anonymous I guess. Just shows some of the bids in which category and calls all the sellers 'seller 1' 'seller 20'. It shows how long ago she bid though so she has been online and just blatantly ignored the unpaid item thing for my item!
  • If she won it, but failed to pay without any message to let you know why, then I would be leaving neg feedback.

Im not a fan of leaving neg feedback, and I have refused to pay for an item (bid on my phone, didnt realise decimel point hadnt gone in... needless to say upper bid was in 1000's for an eyeshadow!!! oops!!) but messaged when I realised (same day), apologised and explained. I got left neutral feedback - I appreciate I made the mistake and its hassle to do a second offer to someone else for the sale so felt it was nice of her to leave neutral feedback.

Sellers do not have the option to leave negative feedback for buyers.

If you look at the bidder id it will usually be digit***digit these two digits will be taken from the buyers id maybe the 2nd and 4th letters for example. Log out of ebay and check your own bidders id and you will see what I mean.

The bid list shows the number of bids made on each item and will be green if that item was won by that bidder. The timing on the bid is for that bid only. So if this user has 200 bids all in black they never won any of them.

Is it worth your time? There is nothing you can do, you can't leave feedback, she will have a strike and a seller may complain if you question him about his buyers.

Thanks for clarifying this, the two letters are from her user name but not in the order they appear so they could be just random or random from her user name and the reason I asked was obviously because I thought feedback was left for someone that hadn't bought something which is I guess impossible.

The reason I noticed in the first place was cause the feedback was 0 and then 1 and I wanted to do a second chance offer quicker than waiting the 8 days unpaid item process for a number of reasons and so if she was blatantly not paying then I could do it sooner. Not sure if the bidding history helped though. Anyway .... I have relisted it now for a shorter auction.

    Thanks for your helps.
