Buying cosmetics off eBay

Hi,
In my quest for a reduction in puffiness and dark circles under my eyes, I have decided I would like to try some no 7 products.
These are available for a fraction of their normal cost on eBay. I was just wondering if anyone knows how these sellers are able to sell them at reduced cost?
I know some can be fakes but not all are - someone once said that it can be because they're out of date? Does that mean they wouldn't be as effective?
Any info would be gratefully received,
Thanks,

Anyone thinking of buying medicines, cosmetics etc from places such as e bay should be aware there are a huge amount of fakes, many contaminated by such materials as arsenic , lead etc. Try reading this http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2210884/The-toxic-trade-fake-make-How-counterfeit-cosmetics-containing-dangerous-levels-arsenic-sold-online-unsuspecting-bargain-hunters.html0

Thanks for this. I thought it might be too good to be true! I was just intrigued as to how these people managed to sell these things so cheaply. I wonder how they can justify their prices too.0 -
I've often sold no7 on ebay - usually as a result of a voucher for a free item from the machine instore or as a 342 which I don't actually want the 3rd item, so I ebay it - still in it's protective sleeve and un-opened.
Through my business account, of course.0 -

Thanks,
Never thought of that!
I was looking at the protect and perfect eye cream and I can get it on eBay for £8.98. The seller has over 10 available so can't imagine it'll be something they've got free!0 -
Personally I only buy products that I'm very familiar with and I would be able to spot if something is dodgy.
And from buyers with 99.9-100% positive feedback and not comments about products being fake.
So far it's worked well and I've saved a lot of money0 -
The seller I looked at had a 99.9% positive feedback but I'm still unsure :-S!0

I know how Boots NO7 products can be ebayed so much cheaper than you can buy from Boots - the ebay sellers will be Bootsers (we are people who use the acm and other vouchers in Boots stores to get free or cheap products). They are glitches, special offers, sometimes GWPs (free gifts with purchases).
No7 has also just recently changed the packaging on all its skincare and cosmetic ranges, and the "old" range was sold off at half price and better instore to make way for the new packaging, less than 2 months ago.0
