Ill Fitting Socks

Just a quick question. I purchased some socks a week ago, and received them this week. I had a look at them and they seemed OK so went and left positive feedback.
Tried them on today, and the heel bit at the back goes halfway up my calf and then the awful socks keep slipping down. Not sure if they are genuinely a size 9, but I don't like them.
The seller is a business seller. Having worn a pair, do I just have to grin and bear it now.
Sorry if this sounds really thick and I am being a bit of a cheap skate, but I rarely buy off eBay and I don't really understand what the procedures are.

You do have seven working days from receipt to ask the seller whether you can cancel the contract and return them.
Many businesses on eBay don't have legal terms and conditions either, so that drastically extends your notice period - it will be up to three months in certain circumstances. Even if you have tried them on there is no way a seller could say you could not return.

So they don't fit then?
Just contact the seller and tell them that you are returning them for a refund. Note that you will have to pay the return postage if the business seller has that in their T&Cs though. To guarantee a refund you must be able to prove delivery back to the seller - could be more expensive than a pair of socks! They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0
