credit card claim - small claims court delay

hi all,

i have claimed credit card using this website many times. i have also helped other people claim too, and in one of the many cases in which i was helping someone else to claim we applied to small claims court just over two years ago.

we were dealing with a few cases at the time, and somehow managed to forget about this one - though this was partly because after we received notice that defence had been filed, and responded, we never heard back from them.

this is now two years ago. i am wondering whether this case would have been thrown out or whether it might still be on the books? and why would we not have heard anything?

bit of a bizarre situation, but i'd appreciate any views on what might have happened in this case. thanks.

So have I got this correct?

You were helping someone trying to reclaim credit card charges.
You eventually filed a summons at the small claims court about this claim.
You received a copy of the defence to the claim.

You then forgot all about this claim.

Now 2 years later you are posting on MSE wondering what might have happened to the original claim?

"Bit of a bizarre situation" as you rightly say

What contact has the person who had the credit card account had with you since that time?
Maybe they've resolved the whole thing and left you to pay the court filing fee :D

we were busy with the several other claims, with were all successful. with a bit of disorganisation, it seems we forgot about this one.

is it worth following up on it, or would the time have expired. i'm not a lawyer, i have no idea about courts and their processes.

we see each others families every now and again, and i would be informed whenever we received any correspondance regarding our claims. there is no way anything was resolved, as they relied on me to for resolving cases too.
