Morning!
Just been reading back and enjoying all the great pics etc. Will have to select some to send to DHs aunt to try and cheer her up. Her son is having a cancer check today - he is 68. It must be strange still having a mum at that age.
Slept in this morning, was exhausted after all the shopping etc we did yesterday. DD woke me getting her breakfast. Must get on and enter some comps as I have an enormous pile of ironing to do and 2 teenage girls are coming for tea before their school dance.
Good Luck all,

Morning everyone
Just pop in before school run. Youngest is having a stroppy day today over what school clothes she is wearing but she put them on in the end and appologised!
I'm used to getting up early after going to bed late Sylvia. I can't sleep much anyway.
Sounds like you've got a busy day Sheils! Fingers crossed for your DH's aunts son, hope all is well xx
Lovely pics ILC and fire**fly :A
SYS everyone xxBig thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Morning all, cold but bright here but the weekend doesn't look like it's going to be as good so better make the most of it.
Thanks for thinking of me Sylvia, we're being very careful so please don't worry too much. We've had a lovely walk this morning, there are lots of other dog walkers about when we go out so we should be fine.
DD will be over later, she's going on a one night Spa Break tomorrow with the last of the vouchers that she won. It's a SITC night where they get dinner, treatments, use of the Spa and a bottle of wine and Girlie DVDs in their room, should be nice.

Morning!!!!!
Crikey!! You peeps stay up late, I can see the inn was very busy! - occasionally I can but usually I'm tucked up and sending up the zzzzz's. Used to be a night owl when I was younger but them days are long gone!
Sheils, hope all goes well with your DH's aunt's son. Fingers and paws crossed. xxxxxxx
Sun has got his hat on here at the mo, wee bit chilly (was cold thru the night brrrrrrrr) but not so bad now. !!!!!! birds bath frozen over so have been out and sorted that.
So pleased I don't eat meat!!!! Shocking news once again re contents of certain dishes.
Hopefully more people will take up good old fashioned home cooking now, using local produce. You can't beat a tasty home cooked meal - plus it's always handy to cook extra (say re dinners etc) and freeze.
Love and hugs to all. Alfie xxxxxxMILITARY WIVES CHOIRSHELP for HEROES0 -
Its a bit dull here FF but hopefully it will brighten up.
Glad you got DD2 sorted out wingo. I just have to let my DD get on with it. You should see the lenght of the dress she is wearing tonight! To be fair she has grown an inch or so since we bought it but she would still have wanted it. There is no height in my family- I am the tallest at 5ft 4 and a half. (mum is well under 5ft) so it is amazing to see DD at about 5ft 8". Just as well my husbands have been tall as the boys are all at or just under 6ft.
Glad you are being careful BSue. When my sister lived in Kent it was their cars they panicked about. They tried to have less common makes as Fords etc used to disappear for spare parts where they lived. It won't be as easy now with extra security on the cars. Sometimes I think it is fine to live out of the way! Peeps forget about our little corner most of the time.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Hi Alfie,
Just saw your post. I don't stay up late very often either. DH likes his sleep after years of getting up early and hates it when I don't go too -says he can't get to sleep as easily. Usually means I waken up early and can comp then which suits everyone.
Can't believe some lasagne etc has been 100% horsemeat and not even just the cheap ones. The farmers have passports etc for their cows so what has been the point when they have been able to use horses.
Have sent a load of your pics to DHs aunt ILC - thank you! She loves everyones pics.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Good Morning everyone;)
This pic reminded me of me/Wingo last night drinking hot choc when I couldn't sleep.
These cheeky crows are what scare alll the little birds off around by us, they are everywhere and really rule the roost.
Thanks for the morning pice iluvcats/Firefly/Sheils/B.Sue/Wingo
Sheils - hope your DD has a lovely evening tonight and that you catch up with the ironing.
B.Sue - Hope DD enjoys her spa break tonight.
Alifie - got to agree with you there is nothing like home cooking. We only use ready meals in an emergency but lets face it when you are retired there is more time to cook. I feel sorry for todays Moms/Dads there is so little time what with school runs/washng/ironng/working etc that if they didn't use them it would be so much harder for them.
Hope everyone has a really luck day today.
SYLBIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0
