Just had a call from Scotish Power asking if i had entered a competition which i did.
Now they are trying to sell my mum their energy deals but won't tell her if it relates to the competition or now.
Got my hopes up thinking i had won, anyone else had this? I always click no to any information from 3rd parties and always click no to phone calls.

I had a load of bother with SP after I entered one of their comps - they wouldn't stop phoning and told me not to enter their comps if I didn't want to be phoned. Avoid them!

Mum's still on the phone with them now, will defiantly avoid them from now on.

Hi Avvie, Sorry you are having trouble with Scottish Power. It is very easy to miss a tick box at some time or other. My stock answer is - Just signed up for 2 years with my supplier. Anyone ringing about double glazing, loft insulation etc - sorry live in a Council House, they are none the wiser about this and it seems to work for me.

Well done to anyone who had any last minute jan wins. I won a tablet dispenser from sweet and low this morning but no idea what to expect (and not had my apron yet)

They were trying to force mum into getting it and she said she had to buy it or the lady would get into trouble, i always double check tick boxes. Mum said to wait 3 weeks until she has sorted stuff out. Don't know whether its worth making a complaint or not.

Avvie do not let your mum agree to anything she doesn't want. She needs to be firm and tell them no she isnt interested and then if they persist tell them you are contacting trading standards to complain

I think somewhere in the small print it says that SP WILL phone you to give you a quote avvie. I had several phone calls and they were very rude.

Won't a tablet dispenser just be the sweet 'n'low tablets Becks? I'm still waiting on my mug.
