Hi all, just got back frm Tesco, treated myself to a new slow cooker for £14 odd, just like the one that I have, but I can't find the lid for. Bet it turns up now. Had an embarrassing moment while there, I had grabbed the bags from under the stairs and God knows how, one of them had a pair of DHs underdungys in it  The poor girl on the checkout nearly wet herself when I pulled them out. Luckily they were clean
So glad to hear that Lottie is feeling better Sylvia, we do worry about them don't we.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Curry cooking in slow cooker, cat still under duvet, as warm as toast and purring away. Just sorting out few more bits of filing and then thank the lord it will be done. All is well in Aflie's home.

Hi All, back to work this week so not in much this week. Toooo tired.
Very cold here but no snow. I have been trying to light a fire from 3.30pm and it will not light just as well I got more oil yesterday.
Barnabysue I laughted at your episode in the shop I would have wanted the ground to open and swallow me up. One of those embarrasing moments.
Received all 5 of my Brothers prizes this morning. They are lovely.
wingobins hope your DD gets better. Knowing what is wrong is half the battle. Have you done any research on the Internet to see if you can find out the solution (I know its not easy when you're not sure what the problem is).
Sheils well done on getting Premier Inn room for £19. Glad you enjoyed Stirling. I went there a few years ago, didn't go to the Castle as there were too many stairs. Went to an Auction, bought a gorgeous amethyst necklace and then went to the Shopping Arcade. Some lovely shops.
i luv cats Mrs Brown's Boys was good last week but not as funny as the week before. It's on RTE tonight so I will watch it and tape it. Seemingly loads of people phoned in to complain about the Nativity Play on New Year's Eve/Day. Brendan (Mrs Brown) had a bit in the newspapers this week for giving £50,000 to buy Turkeys for the homeless.
Alfie hope the weather improves where you live. Have you started writing your book yet?

Lovely pics FF & Sylvia. We had turkey, chips and peas for dinner! Sylvia don't let Fred get away with being cheeky:rotfl:
Hope your weather isn't too bad FF.
We were glad to see Stirling looked as if it was doing OK Dreams. It didn't seem to have empty shops or anything infact it seemed better than I remembered it. The castle would have cost £13 to get in if we hadn't been EH members though. Did notice one car park was only charging £1 to parK all day which was amazing and probably helps the shops. We parked round the corner for free near where our DS1 used to liveI had forgotton about The Brothers Prizes.
