Just managed to get £30 in Amazon Vouchers without much effort though. Had a Goldfish Visa Card I never really used and had always meant to cancel it as I only got it to claim £30 years ago. (Martin's idea!) Anyway, it has changed to a normal Barclaycard and earns Freedom points now so I was promised £30 of points if I spent £500 before end of January so just checked account and they were there.:D Amazon Vouchers arrived minutes after I claimed them.
Also booked a Premier Hotel £19 night for my birthday in March so not too bad a day.

Didn't realise what time it was....bloody hubby wouldn't give me iPad again to comp!

Someone posted on fb that if anyone has hmv vouchers or gift cards to use them pretty quick as they look like they're definately going into admin. what's happening to all the high st stores! :eek: what with Jessops too, it's such a shame. we'll all be shopping from online before long!

Very true! Not a great deal of 'real' pubs left....most of them are wine bars nowadays!

Good Morning!

Hope appointment goes well wingo. HMV has been in bother for ages but then I have never thought it was very cheap and everyone is watching their money nowadays.

Looks foggy again here today - never known it like this for so long. It is horrible.
Bought a frozen turkey at half price yesterday so hoping it is nearly defrosted now. Have had it sitting in water. It was cheaper than getting a chicken as it will do a lot more than 1 day.

Had to laugh at my DH this morning. When he decides to lose weight he is really dedicated. He was on the wii fit board weighing in and turns to me and says, "I can't understand this Sylvia I have put on 3lb" I turns round to look at him and guess what?




You got it - the silly b****r had forgot to take his wrist weights off and he had been juggling.


Wingo I do hope that things go well for you on your visit with DD to see CAMHS.

Morning all. Another dull dreary day here but at least the mist has lifted.

Saw on Yahoo news feed -Yahoo! News - A 'lion' caused panic in Virginia, America. When police investigated it turned out to be 'Charles the Monarch' - a labradoodle (SWNS)

The High Street where I live has an M&S Outlet and a WH Smith and the rest are charity shops and pound shops and lots of empty shops, sad really.

Did well last night with my latest family history project and will get on with more today.

Booked tickets for Les Mis movie for tomorrow-can't wait to see it, going with OH, DD and 2 GDs :T

Love the cute pics Sheils good luck with the turkey! I try to buy meats that I can use on two meals too. Hubby sure does like his meat! I much prefer jacket spuds and pasta!

DD isn't coming today to CAMHS, they just want app with me & DH. Just hope we're back in time for school run!
