Hi everyone, had a win in the last hour. Had mentioned on FB I would love to win a Blue Maoam Retro Bag or a set of Headphones and I just won the Blue Retro Bag, delighted.
Halloween is a big thing in our City over the last few years. There is street entertainment and fireworks, the city is packed and families go out dressed as the Simpsons etc. Everyone gets into the "spirit" of the night and dresses up. Big hairy men have no qualms about going out dressed up as women. It's usually a very good night. I am lucky where I live, the back of my house overlooks the River Foyle so I can see all the fireworks from my kitchen or bedroom. Ideal if it is a really cold night which it usually is.
I had friends over from England a few years ago and we dressed up and went over the town. The roads in the city are closed to cars so we got a bus over, it was very funny travelling with The Texas Chainsaw Murderer, Mummy's, schoolgirls (boys), witches, devils, nuns. We had great fun on the bus I could have stayed on the bus all night.
All the local children come to the doors Trick or Treating. It used to be at 5pm but now most people head over the town for the entertainment and then called at the doors when they come back.

My kids have been trying on costumes and son picked out a mad scientist white wig ....I didn't have the heart to tell him he looked like jimmy saville (I was scared incase he googled him! :eek:)

Would your son be old enough to understand about Jimmy Saville wingobins? In the late 90's my nephew Ryan was on Jim Will Fix It dancing with Mutant Turtles, it is shocking to think what Jimmy was up to.
Do you watch Deal or No Deal? a neighbour of mine is on this week, she arrived Sunday, her name is Hazel, she was the Manager of our local library but retired a few months ago. Hope she does well.

I watch it occasionally Dreams I'll look out for Hazel. A woman who I knw was on a couple of years ago and she dealt at 86,000. The next offer was 135,000
I don't think son is in front of tv long enough to know about j.saville. He's always playing football or playing on FIFA on Xbox!

Never saw that one before fireFly! Was quite scary! it's a bit like the 3D show you get in town....does anyone else get them near where you are at xmas & Halloween?
