Postcards being posted back to you rather than the Competition address

I send about 10 postcard comps a week on average and i'd say 1 out of 10 is posted back to my address rather than where it should go.This week 3 were returned to my address.They were correctly addressed with the correct postage.
Is this a common problem for compers or have I got a particularly bad sorting office.

This is known as the boomerang effect. It happens because automated postcode readers find your postcode instead of that of the addressees.
Try writing another line after your postcode - eg. phone number or email address. Also write your name and address diagonally across the postcard - less likely to be readable. HTH!0 -
