Replacing a boiler

I estimate that if the local fitter is charging £2500 then BG will be about £4000.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

You may well do better with a local fitter - especially if he has been recommended - but to give you an idea why don't you get a "Free home visit for a fixed price quote" from British Gas. I've no idea what they would charge, but they have a £400 discount scrappage scheme running until 31st October 2012.Has anyone used Swalec or British Gas to replace their boiler. If so what costs am I looking at? Had a quote from a local fitter for around £2500 includes new Worcester boiler and fitting.
