What has happened to my mains gas discount
My home is not connected to a mains gas supply and I have always received a credit on my bill entitled "no mains gas discount" my most recent bill is missing this.... Why could this be? Should I raise a complaint? Seems a bit random...

More appropriately why should there be a discount in the first place? That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Well other people have access to a dual fuel discount. I would regard it as fairly equivalent.Sealed Pot Challenge #239

You only get that if you take both services of a single supplier.
Anyhoo, what did your supplier say? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I do take all my supply from a single provider. They said it was registered to my account and should be applied to my bill. The operator didn't know why it hadn't been applied. Very helpful indeed!Sealed Pot Challenge #239

Is it a way to grab customers from other suppliers by offering this as they are unable to access a dual fuel discount?:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0

That's weird, I'm sure I get more than £8. The discount normally covers the VAT on my bill which is why I noticed it was missing. I also received it on my bills with Southern. I have no idea where those regions are? I would call my region "Southern" if I was comparing rates in a table.Sealed Pot Challenge #239

I get £20 no mains gas discount (ex VAT) per year.
I think it was something brought in by ofgem a couple of years ago. Suppliers have to give it to customers in their old host regions who can't get dual fuel discount.
I'm with E.ON in the old EMEB region.0
