Old topshop account- possible ppi claim

I took out a topshop account card with ge money some years ago(some time between 2001 and 2004 i think). When i first took out the card there was a monthly fee of £5 which i paid via direct debit, whether i spent money on the card or not. I don't have the paperwork any more. Could this have been a premium which included ppi? If so i'd been paying it for some years.
I ended up having to get a new card a few years ago because the system has changed and cancelled the old one. I no longer have the original paperwork for either of the cards and i don't have ppi on the current one, although i think the account number itself has remained the same.
What are my chances of getting the lender to supply copies of original agreement for old card so i can see whether i had ppi on it and would it be worth the bother? Just wondered if anyone else had similar experience?

you mean GE Capital (now santander) whether you get the agreements or not doesnt mean its mis-sold. the £5 fee you paid wouldnt have been PPI, likely to be something else, as PPI on a store/credit card would be a variable premium paid with your monthly payment to the account. its never a flat fee on cards.
you are not likely to get anywhere with a complaint, as they are not under FOS jurisdiction they will just dismiss a complaint0
