Cash from Credit card

Hi, I wonder if one of you guys can help me.

I am £135 in credit on one of my credit cards, I wondered if I took the cash out can they charge me for the withdrawal ?

The won't charge you interest but you'll probably get a cash advance fee.
This is for using the service of the ATMs e.g. someone has to fill them with cash etc.

The easiest way is probably to spend it, but if not sk for a cheque or BACS transfer.

A few cards wouldn't charge - eg Santander Zero, Halifax Clarity, Sainsbury GOLD (??).

But most do. Traditionally, getting cash on a CC is a "distress transaction". People are in a fix - be it short of cashflow and/or simply out at night and having forgotten their debit card. So CCs see no problem in milking you for the privilege. Plus there is a cost, both in operating the ATM (as above) and in elevated risk.

So, having put the charge into the T+Cs, they'll happily charge it whether or not you are in credit....

Thank you for your replies, I think the best thing to do is to spend it, I did wonder if they would pay me the 29% interest they charged me which prompted me to pay it off.
