Planning permission procedure + fee, for raising exterior wall height?

Another thing that needs to be considered is that a 3m wall is going to look out of place in a lot of locations, planning control won't want something that looks as though it's come from a compound in Jalalabad in a typical suburban setting.

Your neighbours could have a lot to say about it too and unless their a good reason to raise it by 80cm - 100cm you might very well be refused.
