Tesco PPI questionnaire

Hi, i'm hoping someone out there might be able to help out with this or have received and similar letter.
I've received and letter and questionnaire from Tesco telling me i may have been missold PPI between XX and XX date. There's a questionnaire to fill in and send back to them. I've tried looking this up and all i can really find is the below site;
jdlaw.co.uk/ppi-claims/payment-protection-insurance/ (There's a sample of the letter and questionnaire on this page)
I've never really thought about claiming back PPI as i never realised i actually had any in the past 10 years but this leads me to believe i had.
I am going to dig out any old paper work i can find but not too sure if i still have any.

I don't understand your post, are you saying the letter is not from Tesco but jd law?
If it is Jd law then they are a claims co and there is every chance you don't have PPI, give Tesco a call and if the letter is from them then put the claim in.
Do not use Jd law, seems to me they are a claims co, if it is Jd Law, then report them to MOJ for mis leading you and claiming to be Tesco, they do not know any ones PPI or loan or Credit card details.

There have been some scams where dodgy claims companies have pretended to represent certain lenders. Financial services companies will not employ claims companies. So, any claims company pretending to represent a lender is making bogus claims. Another scam is when they say they represent the Govt or FSA, FOS, OFT or other official body.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

The letter is from Tesco, i did a bit of googling to see if i could find anything else about Tesco sending these letters out and all i could find was a sample of the letter of the site i mentioned above.
The reason i was asking was to see if people filled out the questionnaire or made a claim against tesco. Don't really want to screw up by answering the questions wrong.
There was another post on here but it's gone before i had chance to respond. She said they had received the same latter back in June/July but rather than filling it in they rang up.0 -
If you did have a loan/CC with Tesco, and you paid PPI, send a form or phone up.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

my husband as well received a questionare and letter from tesco's back in July , it had my husbands old loan agreement number on it , the loan had ppi added which was front-loaded , he had the loan for about 3 years till it was paid off . when we got the letter & questionare my husband contacted tesco's ( the contact number on the letter ) , he spoke to tesco's on the phone and answered the questionnaire over the phone , he got a letter about a week later to say they were looking into the claim and it will take about 8 weeks , he got another one when it was almost 8 weeks to say that they were looking for more information and for more evidence on the claim , then a few weeks later he got the letter to say he had won the claim and to sign the acceptance form and send it back to them ,and it also included the financial ombudsman service leaflet/booklet , it was all tesco's envelopes and tesco's paper work and the address's on the envelopes are all tesco's etc . if your worried i would just ring tesco's ppi complaints line up . but if you look through all of your old tesco's loan agreement's the loan agreement number that is at the top of the letter may match the letter that tesco's have just sent you , my husbands did and the date is also correct .
hope that helps , but i think that jd law were just showing a template letter of what the various banks are sending out to there customers and if anyone has received them they should get help completing them that is all .0 -
Just to add further confidence to this thread, I received the same letter/questionnaire, posted it back complete and have received a positive response from Tesco. It's all above board. JD Law are only showing the Tesco letter/Q as an example and not to scam custom.0

Some banks are now doing a past book review which means they are writing to customers inviting them to complain. As long as its from the bank or lender directly it won't be a scam.0

Can I ask WHEN your husband took out his Tesco loan? Just that I had two back in 1998 which I have just sent off claims for... I wondered whether they were writing to current customers or more recent customers only or are going through all their customer files, as I haven't had a letter from them... yet!!0 -
hi VicS73 , it was a loan that ran from 2006 to 2009 .0
