ESA Income Related Claim Letter Back.

Hi All

I hope someone can help out with info.

I'm getting ESA support at the moment and got a letter back on a claim I made for Income Related as well.

They ask to see a bank statement for my rent service charges and to send it back to them.

Does this more likely mean they will end up paying for my service charge.

Would they just say no in the reply letter to Income Related if not.

Thank You
Vasim

I think that would come under Housing benefit.

My guess it is to calulate your income, if you are paying a service charge, that would mean you have less income, so it will help to qualify you for the benefit.

ESA stands for Employment and Support Allowance so no need to call it ESA support ;)
