It's Collection ONLY ... so how much is postage?

A friend of mine wanted to list a heavy, large, awkward, though slightly delicate item on eBay.
It is obviously the kind of item that would only ever be collection only, so they asked my advice as to where to state this in the listing. My suggestion, just to make it clear as crystal, was to repeatedly state 'Collection Only' throughout the listing!
As a result, 'Collection Only' appears at the top of the title: in capitals, in bold, in red and in large font. It also appears strategically placed, throughout the description and at the end of the description.
I also noticed, they even put "Collection Only" in the title!
My friend just emailed me to share their frustration: They have received a question... how much is postage to Norwich?

Just answer politely that dleivery is not an option and leave it at that0

As long as the collection only option was used in the postage section I would do as WLM suggests.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I must confess, I have asked that question, under those circumstances! I simply had a few similar items in my watch list and got muddled up. I was rather surprised by the very sharp response I got!

To confirm, it's listed as collection only being the only option.
My friend did reply (politely) that collection is the only option, with the result that the enquirer has suggested it would cost £8 to post. [Plainly it would cost much more - and more than the item's worth].
I suggested my friend simply ignores them, but more importantly suggested they block the bidder, since there's every sign that they're going to cause a problem.

you are right to listen to your gut. may be a scam to get your firend to post and then declare item broken when there is no come back on insurance for glass items.0

Make something up.
Tell then the only courier you know of who will come round. Inspect the item then wrap it and pack it securely then box it and then deliver it. Charges £80 for that service and £1 per mile.
If the customer is not in they charge £15 for the 1st hour then £20 an hour for the next 2 hours. Then £50 an hour.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Just ignore the person and block them0

If norwich is 100 miles away, then tell them delivery is £100 for return petrol and your time!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
