I am confused. There seem to be two apps, one called Simply Tap, which is advertising the £5 off (if you spend more than £5 on your first purchase you get £5 cashback) and the carphone warehouse mobile checkout app. But conversation above suggests they are the same. I am confused!0

That's what I'm thinking - seems a bit risky not keen on having card details left on a site - not after having my card done a while back when Lush kindly left their site wide open, caused a right load of stress that did!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Agreed - also the DOB wouldn't accept anyone born before 1970 - presumably they think anyone older would have more sense as noted above - its not even CPW's app & security0 -

It accepted my parents DOB - born before 1970.
I have just checked my online banking and have 1p held so they haven't took any more than stated.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -

You probably did enter a different DOB and then used a Card that has different DOB registered. Happened to me as well, I don't like to give away personal details but for the payment to go through I had to match both DOBs.

already registered with simple tap so no good for me. did get a free box of thonrtons chocs when i first registered so i'm happy enought

I dont think they can check what your date of birth is from your card details. That would be a data protection breach by your bank0
