What a lovely bunch the people on MSE are

I know you didn't get that good a look and it's only possibly a tabby but there is a missing tabby here: http://www.animalsearchuk.co.uk/find-lost-pets/view-pet.php?p=110389&prt=1&viewru=1&sort_order=date&typeOfPet=1&lostOrFound=1&searchDate=2012-10-05&searchRadius=3&showResultsAs=List&petColour1=-1&petColour2=-1&petColour3=-1&petColour4=-1&petHasACollar=Ignore&petCollarColour=-1&GMapsLat=51.436333&GMapsLng=-0.8996713999999884&GMapsLocationDesc=Winnersh%2C+Wokingham%2C+United+Kingdom%2C+RG41+5HG&page=1&search=1
Looks very close by (1/2 a mile) according to google maps, he's been missing for 7 weeks.0 -

Thanks for the link (didn't know of the site) - I have sent a message to the owner of the missing cat - let's hope it's the right one.justanopinion wrote: »Hi both. Just got back - there's no sign of a kitty there at the moment. Combed the front car park and went round the bushes. It's tipping it with rain though. Will pop down again in the morning and let you know if I find anything.
Aw, thanks for doing that... I really appreciate you helping out. The cat must be so scared as it is surrounded by really busy roads and busy carparks. It looked smallish as well so maybe hungry.
Let's hope the owner of the missing cat can go and have a look around... everyone, keep your fingers crossed.:hello:0 -
There are lots of houses near the cinema, but there is the river blocking them off at one side. At the back of the cinema if you follow the river there are fields and a lake. But on the other side it could be possible that it ran over the roads from a house in winnersh. The roads are busy but there are traffic lights and its not a busy road at night so its entirely possible.
also - just thinking, although there is the river on the other side, the cat could also have walked over the bridge next to the pub, if its come from a house in woodley on the other side. so even more possible houses. But I guess could be tricky for it to find its way back.0 -

Do let us know how you get on. How marvellous if it was this missing cat. One of mine disappeared about 8 years ago. Despite searching and searching I never found out what happened. It still saddens me to this day.
Thanks for caring about this poor stray.0
