I have only just bought the ipad3 and I'm sure I had Google Street view the other day. I clicked onto the Map icon, put in my postcode and somehow got the view of the front of my house with my neighbour standing by his door.
I can't get it now - what am I doing wrong?

To use Street View on your mobile browser simply go to maps.google.com and search for a location.
Then click the 'pegman' icon at the bottom right of your screen to access Street View.
Access Street View by clicking on the 'pegman' icon.
For quick access to Google Maps on iOS devices, you can save a bookmark to your home screen.
Simply click 'Save to Home Screen' on the bottom of the page when you’re in Google Maps. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
espresso,
Thanks, I have printed that instruction and will try it as soon as I get home (at work now).
It's all trial and error at the moment!

Is your iPad on IOS 6?
users of this version of IOS did just get a update by Google so that they can 'sort of' use Street View via the browser maps:

I'm sticking to IOS 5 for now.0 -
Google and Apple have fallen out one step further... so iOS6 does not support google maps in apps. Can only be viewed from a browser.0
