in Credit cards
hi, when applying for a credit card ans the company ask for your bank accout details. what exactly do they need them for. ie can they see your balance and your transactions?? thanks

No they cant, it's just so they know you have some kind of bank account it's more of an identity check in a way that you are who you say you are.0

Unless of course you bank with the same bank you have applied for you credit card with!!0

Also helps them to identify your credit file if your addresses don't match exactly.0

But you will also be agreeing to a credit check, where they will be able to see what debts you currently have (including a current account overdraft any any account - not just the one you put on the form).0
