Can't work out how to turn plastic shower stopcock on

In my new bathroom there is a hole cut in the cupboard with a white plastic , round stopcock inside, newly installed. I can't work out how to turn it on to get the water on. There are a couple of similar ones on the sink but that is on. Help

  • Have a look at the ones on the sink, is there something to get hold of and turn? Do you need a screw driver?

Is it like any of these, some are powered by water pressure.

Pic please. Did you call up your installer and ask him?

Those are service valves sometimes called isolating valves not stopcocks - and its a basin. Sinks go in kitchens and utility rooms. Sorry to be picky.

Those only turn 90 degrees between off and on, don't expect it to keep turning like a normal tap. Might be a little tight. They're isolation valves, and aren't intended to be used on a daily basis, only for when doing work on the shower and the water needs to be cut off.
