iPhone 5 insurance

Hi
I have always used MSE as my single point of truth for all things to do with money.
So now that I want to insure my new iphone I thought I would find an easy solution here.
Im really glad that I have read through the forum to get some idea as to where I should go.
The one that is recommended on the site is Insure and Go, but on reading in the forum I see lots of unhappy customers, when it came time to make a claim.
I then searched the web and Protectmybubble.com came up. It looks like a great policy but then some further research leads you to the impression that they almost never pay out.
Can anyone recommend a good reliable policy that covers the usual things, loss, dropping, theft etc?
The phone providers obviously have their own, but its really expensive.
Any help appreciated.

In short, and in my opinion, there are no good policies because far too many "accidentally" drop their phone when its starting to get a bit old and they fancy something newer. This results in high claims rates and so typically both poor policies (indemnity not new for old for example) and strict application of the terms (stolen from bag under the table not covered as not in your possession at the time etc)
I get free insurance with my bank so use that, I very much doubt I would buy any otherwise0 -
Have you tried your home contents policy?0

The Best Cover for a Iphone 5 or what ever is ...... wait for it not paying a insurance company because as you said and others have stated too many people drop or loose their phones when it gets old and claim these are often cases where they never get paid out.
My advice would be if you worried abouts damage or dropping its to invest in a Otterbox Defender series Case for Iphone the best. (its been military tested and even kid tested:rotfl:)
But if you do want insurance, best insurance is for me £20 each month in an piggy bank should that day come and its stolen and what evey i manage to save if not enough make the difference and buy one without the headache of insurance claim handlersTotal Debt in June 2013: Barclaycard 0% until Nov 2014: £1550
Tesco CC: £1200 0% Until March 2014
HSBC CC: £384 25%APR - TARGET to make GREEN ASAP0 -
I can vouch for the Otterbox Defender, as after 2 years my iPhone 4 still look like new. Insurance will cover for theft, and possibly also for bills resulting from misuse, but stand alone policies will always cost considerably more, along with £100 excess to add a sting in the tail.0
