I see you have avg antispyware installed - have you updated and run this?0
-
after a couple of us looking at the log we have come to the conclusion that it's a "false positive" by Noadware, possibly to get you to buy the full or upgraded version. There are NO signs of infection in the hijackthis logEx forum ambassador

Thanks Browntoa
If noadware is giving false positives, is it worth keeping it on my computer?sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue!0 -

What about spyware doctor - we purchased this but have had problems running it on the laptop so removed it.sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue!0

they're only minor registry entries, they wont do anything malicious, but if you want to delete it, try the following:
click start>search>files or folders
select "all files and folders" and in the box titled "a word or phrase in the file", type in outlookaddin.addinRegkey and click "search"
if it finds any files titled "run" or "autorun", delete it.
If it finds other files, post here what it finds0 -
I discussed this breifly with Browntoa and at first thought it was an FP but looking back on the replies from edna, it would appear the detections WERE present in the registry when performing a manual search. The issue here I think is more of what is blocking their removal rather than how harmful they are. Anti-spyware programs can often prevent changes to the registry and I've just noticed edna has the new version of Ad-Aware 7 installed. If I'm not mistaken this version of the program includes Ad-Watch which is a feature of Ad-Aware that monitors and blocks unauthorised changes to the registry. In the past this feature was notorious for preventing any changes to the registry even when done in Safe Mode.
I believe Ad-Watch in Ad-Aware 7 runs as a service:
O23 - Service: Ad-Aware 2007 Service (aawservice) - Lavasoft AB - C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware Pro\aawservice.exe
Something worth trying is temporarily disabling this service.
Go to Start > Run and type services.msc
When the Services window appears, scroll down to Ad-Aware 2007 Service (aawservice) and click STOP. Change the "Startup type" to disabled.
Close the services window and scan again with Noadware. Let Noadware remove the entries and reboot. Scan again with Noadware.
Still detecting?0 -
Thanks Alfonso
Just done what you said and rescaned. Noadware found the three things again - deleted them - rescanned and nothing showed. Shut down and restarted computer - rescanned and they are back.sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue!0
