hi
there are gaps between the flags on my patio and want to fill them.
do i just use sand and cement?
if so what ratio and do i just put it in dry?

    If the gaps are small (i.e. maybe around 5 mm) you could probably get away with brushing silver sand into them. If the gaps are large then you can use mortar (buy it pre-mixed it's easier) but I'd mix it up nice and creamy with water first and then have the laborious job of filling each gap by hand then smoothing over.

    Cement can stain patio slabs if you spill it when dry, when wet it seems to be easier to wash off.
