Placenta preavia

Just wondered if anybody has had or currently has placenta preavia, just wondered if anyone had any experience of it.

    My cousins wife had it and it caused her to have blood spotting all way through her pregnancy. It did correct itself though and baby was born naturally no probs.

    I'm a MW. The significance of PP is dependant upon the 'degree of it', and also at what stage of pregnancy you are. Many woem are found to have a low-lying placenta at their 20 week USS. However, the vast majority move up later on in the pregnancy, and very few go on to have a true PP.
