this is the first time i will be going with my sons wheelchair on a train and not sure what i do.
i need to book tickets for 2 adults and 2 kids but then my 3rd child is only 2 so no ticket but will need a disabled space for his wheelchair. we could manage without assistance as my husband can lift him on train but do we ring the train line. if we do that can we still order cheaper tickets from the computer.
thanks

I think you order your tickets and then phone to book assistance, however I'd ring the assistance line first to discuss the booking for a wheelchair.Signature removed for peace of mind0

I use Southeastern and with them you need to book assisted travel at least 24hrs in advance but you dont need to pre book tickets. Contact your local train company or look on their website.
Also just to say the first time I travelled I was very nervous with the all the horror stories you hear. However Southeastern (and Network Rail) have always been extremely helpful.0 -
Mum also found them very helpful whenever she booked assisted travel: I met her off the train last time, and a member of staff had got her bag and was carrying it for her, he would have brought it all the way to my had we needed him to.sizzler1893 wrote: »Also just to say the first time I travelled I was very nervous with the all the horror stories you hear.
