Is DLA continuing now ESA is being introduced?

I'm very confused about what's happening with the benefits system at the moment as I suspect many others are.
I get Incapacity Benefit and also DLA (HRM and HRC) which has an indefinite period.
I have had the letter and ESA50 which I am filling in but just wondered what was happening to the DLA side of things.
Will this continue until there has been a decision made regarding the ESA?
What happens to DLA when a decision has been made?
Thanks

DLA is a separate entity so it should not be affected.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
dla will change to pip probably from early 2014 onwards0

New claims for DLA in certain areas will change to PIP from April 2013, in October 2013 any new applications for DLA from across the country will be done under PIP - Anyone on DLA even with an indefinate award will start to be reassesed under PIP from October 2012 and all cliaments should be on PIP from 20160
