I sold two items on 27 Sep and mailed both tracked delivery.
I kept a trace on these and a day after they had been delivered I emailed both buyers asking them to confirm receipt and also to confirm they were happy with their purchase.
First buyer responded and confirmed and left positive feedback.
Second hasn't responded so far.
I'm short of cash and would like to withdraw the funds from paypal but I'm reluctant on the basis that the second buyer hasn't confirmed receipt and if he is happy.
Although not 100% guaranteed that a supposedly happy buyer won't come back at a later date and want a refund, I am basing the fact that if they say they are happy, its peace of mind for me to make the withdrawal.
Would you withdraw the funds without knowing for sure a buyer has received your item and is happy?

Yes. What if the buyer decides not to contact you or leave feedback. Are you prepared to wait 45-60 days for the cash?
Another small point. IMO you should never contact a buyer and ask if they are happy with their purchase. It can open a whole can of worms.0 -

Thanks for your advice. I actually thought asking them if they were happy was quite a nice thing to do.0 -
Always assume that they are happy unless they tell you otherwise!
You always run the risk of a response along the lines of 'I'm happy with the item...but'
In the past I thought I was being nice by emailing, but I soon got wise to it.0 -
Bloody jinxed. Buyer one has just emailed me to say the cd player in the item i sold is not working properly.
Guess a refund is coming up. Glad i haven't transferred the cash out of paypal yet.0
