Credit Card Limit/Credit Score Question

in Credit cards
Hi,
The other day I went and applied for a credit card at my bank, purely for purchasing thing like flights/holidays etc, anything I purchase will be paid back immdeiately. The lady offered me a card with a £6,200 limit and said I had a credit score of 1B, what does that mean?
She even said herself I had an excellent rating but I thought credit scores were done in numbers, 720 or so being a good score. I don't understand what this 1B means, does anyboody know what a 1B equates to on the more conventional method of giving a credit score?
Thanks

The numbers mean nothing - they are made up by credit reference agencies (who do not actually lend to you) to try and make you buy their products.
1B is your internal score with the bank and it is a good one.Graduated 16 July 2013 with First Class Honours :jHouse Deposit: £6,493.10 - Cashback Total: £447.670 -
Its an internal score as lawstudent states this has no effect with other credit providers0
