Hi everyone
Ok, so basically at the moment I'm a 22 year old college student. I'm not working, and I'm currently still living at home with parents.
I have been told because I'm a full time student I'm not entitled to any benefits what so ever. The big problem is, I have 0pence coming in. I am struggling like a lot of people to find a job. I'm in around 4k debt which is just getting bigger and bigger and bigger because I can't afford to pay anything back due to no income.
Is there any benefit I can get? I have been told I may be able to apply for JSA.
Thanks

JSA is not payable to full time FE student. I take it you are studying FE and not HE at your college (or they'd have informed you of your loan situation).
There is nothing you can claim - unless the college has a "discretionary support fund" they can use (ie the old EMA) - which is often given as a bursary for those on low incomes.
Sorry - but a part time job is the way to go here0 -
Luckily for you OP, there will be quite a few part-time jobs coming up around now, ready for Christmas. Hopefully, there'll be something out there for you. It's not a long-term solution, obviously, but you can keep looking for somethig else.0
