Any Santander business account holders here?

Hi,

Just a quick question to those people with Santander business accounts, do you ever have issues trying to deposit cash into the ATMs outside of normal banking hours?

I work odd hours and am often sleeping through the daytime so my deposits are often done late at night or early dawn, but the vast majority of the time the ATM throws my card back saying "service unavailable" just prior to the slot opening to take the envelope. I've also tried driving to the next nearest branch but get the same thing from the machine there.

Typically, Santander say there's nothing wrong with the machines and there's nothing they can do about it.

Anyone have this trouble?

  • Call business banking and ask if the deposits show as an authorisation on your card. If not it's your card which has the problem. I reckon it's damaged and you need another, seen it before...
