The Work focussed interviews (WFIs) are there for you to discuss with advisor at jobcentre how a way back to work might be engineered in future. I wouldn't be too worried about it... it'll probably seem quite informal. You should be able to get your bus fare or the like refunded so make sure you get a return and give it to advisor when there.. if relevant. Remember they can't force you to seek work or take paid work.

I had my first interview in May, the advisor was really nice and I was there for around 10 mins, she just asked about my illness and what I used to do before I became ill, I did have to go to another work place group to decide if I wanted to go with them or stay with my advisor, the work group sounded not only useless but also very silly as they sent their clients away for a few days a month to some god forsaken place where they would walk and rock climb, camp out and cook in the open air, rather useless if your disabled and can't walk far let alone climb rocks! They also held monthly come dine with me type things where a couple of the clients cooked a meal for the rest of the group, can't see how any of that stuff helps getting back to work but there you go.

I chose to stay with my JCP advisor and have to go again on the 25th of this month, so in my case I didn't find it bad at all and she told me the aim of these things is not to force anyone back to work but to help with support should you wish to go to work and they offer all the help you need.

they can make you attend the work programme or groups that they think may be able to help you get ready to work ....

but they CANT make you either look for work or work!
