Why blank pages when clicking on some links?

When I click on some links, such as on Quidco or Topcashback for example, I only get a blank page & in the address bar will be http://www.awin1.com followed by a bit more detail that no doubt relates to the page I'm trying to unsuccessfully access.

I'd be grateful if anybody could shed any light on why I don't get directed to the relevant website?
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

  • probably because you've got some malware on your pc which has hi-jacked yoru browser and redirecting you to some affiliate marking site

Best run something like Malware bytes, and get it to remove any rubbish it finds

The site you clicked on (including this one) is using affiliate links, if you have any software that blocks this, eg a modified host file or ad blocking then it won't work. Or it could just be a bad link

Links are not down as this has been going on for quite sometime and happens too often for so many links to be down.

No malware as have run full scan and none found, so would think that closed answer of affiliate links to be the most likely answer. Is there any solution to this I wonder as I'm missing out on claiming cashback not being able to click through?
