Esa tribunal help

Hi hope someone can help.
Ive just had a letter to say that my appeal for ESA has been unsuccessful and that a tribunal hearing will be sent out for me if i wish to apply. They say it could take between 6-10 wks for my case to be heard thing is i cannot get to see my G.P till the 24th oct is this enough time for any other evidence to be sent off for my hearing or can i just bring it with me on the day? Do i call them to explain this? Also do i need a representive with me would it help if i do? So worried about this as you can imagine would be grateful for any help. Thank you in advance!

Do you mean the reconsideration has been unsuccessful?
You should send new evidence in at least a week in advance.
If you can find someone to represent you, that in general means you have more chance.

If what you have had is notification from the DWP that your reconsideration has failed, then this will automatically proceed to appeal, and you will get a form in the post, asking you if you want an in-person hearing, and to contact them about dates you can't make.

Appearing in person has a much better success rate than doing it on paper.

As above... this sounds like a reconsideration has been unsuccessful. If you have sent appeal to DWP (and they duly have now completed their automatic reconsideration) then they'll now send paperwork to tribunals service to arrange appeal tribunal. If you only asked for a reconsideration then you'll need to appeal.

A tribunal will probably take several months to arrange. As above regarding sending evidence in. Focus on the descriptors if you do send any material in.

You should have plenty time... tribunals are tending to be quite slow to set up due to heavy demand on the service.

It might be worth watching this video.

    Not worth calling.
Nobody is going to look at the file again till a couple of days before the hearing, generally.
