Hi there, hoping someone with mechanical skills / experience might be able to advise.
I have a Grand Voyager 2.8 diesel 2007. It needs front brake pads (not desperate but I would like to get them done before the winter).
I have been looking on Google for some pads but the prices vary so greatly from £18 up to £55. Obviously, I don't want to compromise on quality/performance, but I don't want to pay over the odds.
Just wondering if anyone has any advice on makes to avoid or to go for, or what is a good price for pads?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

dearer pads such a ferrodo premiers have a harder meterial composition in them that costs that bit more to produce but gives you better braking and the pad lasts longer.
i have cheap pads in the past and 12 months down the line and 6000 miles later have literally vanished into brake dust.
a pad centered around the middle of those prices should be quality pad.0 -

I always use Ferodo.
IMO, there are two areas of a vehicle, where you shouldn't cut corners.

my advice is and always will be buy brake parts off a local trusted source only
you wilL be offered a choice of budget mid and premium if YOU ASK
more importantly you have the assurance these components meet european brake specifications and are not backdoor copy imports
rather important i think esp[ecially as your vehicle weighs 2 tonnes0 -

Cheap brake pads will often outlast the vehicle they are fitted to0
