Is this definitely true? Surely notes are only examined by an underwriter when the instant decision is a decline and the application is sent for further scrutiny. Are you saying that any note on your credit report prevents you getting an instant decision? I'm sure I've had notes on my report in the past and still had instant accept decisions.0 -
I can't say for definite, but I can see why it'd need a 'human' since computers work on simple numerical data.Is this definitely true? A quick google throws up this from CallCredit...
I'm sure you could find further information from Experian & Equifax.A Notice of Correction can slow down any future credit applications you make, as lenders are obliged to read it before making their decision.0 -
Thanks. That's enough to convince me not to add any more notes to my reports0

I suspect you'll be ok, but why not sign up for noddle.co.uk
It's the third Credit Reference Agency (Call Credit) after Equifax and Experian but it's completely free and you can keep checking your account on-line (updated once per month).
You could also get statutory reports (£2) from Experian and Equifax but if the account you want to check is available on-line for free then there really is no need. Personally I do not recommend the free traisl which can be more hassle than their worth for the sake of £2. Don't bother with scores either, they are just made up numbers.
I would also suggest you consider Direct Debit.
What has happened is compeltely understandable but it's not impossible that something similar could happen in future or you just forget.
Hi,
I just went onto noodle and it wants my bank card details including security code !! I don't think so !! THAT's NOT SAFE online for something that is free surely ????:mad:0 -

Also wouldn't be safe if they just gave out your entire credit history to anyone who happened to know your date of birth and where you live. It's for authentication and your card has to be registered to your current address0 -
