Has anyone here dealt with this company? I came home from a weeks holiday to find a couple of cards behind the door to say they can't deliver a parcel.
I rang the phone no. and re-arranged del. stayed in all day - nothing, tried again - nothing.
The card says parcel can be collected from service centre but doesn't even say which town it's in.
What is worrying is that I don't even know what the parcel is.
Is this some sort of scam??

I'd try and work out who sent it and tell them what happened..0 -

Yodel, have lost one of my parcels I Sent, first confirmed it was lost on the Monday so I refunded my buyer, the next day it was "delivered" but due to a big delay the house was empty as my customer had moved. They told my it was left in a porch ( the house has no porch) now they tell me it was thrown over the side gate of the house after a driver investigation. Neighbours have checked and its not there..Not happy. I am £50 down and will have to try and claim, but the tracking says delivered..in hospital for a operation tomorrow so didn't really need this.0

I've waited in all day to have a parcel collected by Yodel, their customer services have lied and told me collection has been flagged as "'failed collection", despite no card through the door and us being in all day, (and accepting parcels from several other networks without issue).
I cannot get through on their useless 0800 157 7777 (that's the number they don't publish anywhere - so many that'll help someone, press 2 twice at the menu to get put on hold forever with the goal to speak to someone - it didn't happen, I was eventually cut off).
YODEL you are without doubt the worst delivery company I have ever had dealings with, lying to a customer is about as bad as it gets, and why Amazon use them is anyone's guess.
(We've had problems before, including valuable items, thrown over a gate in the rain when we were out - first class service Yodel.)
Will definitely not rearrange this collection with Yodel, wouldn't trust them with the parcel, let alone all the lies. Would rather pay the P+P and claim back from Amazon.
Utter wasted day. Presumably Yodel will now cover the cost of my day off work? Ha ha.0 -
Your failed collection may be because the "collection job" was allocated to the wrong courier (ie one who doesnt operate in your area) and once all jobs are allocated it cant be "fixed" until the next day. Its probably also the reason you wont have a card thru the door either...0

If this is indeed the case, Yodel is thoughtless in booking the "wrong courier". Let alone then lying to the customer to say "collection failed".
I'm sure you'll concede that this isn't really the problem of the customer. I book a collection 2 days in advance, I expect it to be collected 2 days in advance. Why advertise a service you are unable to fulfil?
Fortunately a proper courier company are picking it up tomorrow at an allocated time slot, booked after 6pm today for tomorrow collection - how civilised. Something Yodel are also unable to do, and unhelpfully haven't responded to my e-mail complaint.
I hope I never have the misfortune to use them again.0
