ok no big deal here, just intrested really
seller stated portsmouth uk , once id paid i get a message that it usualy takes 5-10 days
today the package arrives , has a home printed 2 class paid label same as any uk could use , but the packed had been opened and taped back up with UK border control inspected tape alll over it
just curious how someone outside the uk can use a normal label?

Because it has been imported into the country from China, to a holding depot, and forwarded from there.
This is how they can claim to be sending from the UK, the sellers are massive and usually have a few different user ID's. They tend to also hold massive stocks of popular items and employ a few people as pickers to send the goods on.
The problem can come when you want to return it, some of them want you to send it back to the head office in China.0 -
Hi, I recently had a similar experience. I did a BIN on a set of Crochet hooks and purposely chose one that was UK. They took a while to arrive, then when I checked the seller info he was from China. When they finally arrived it had been sent UK 2nd class, but I had a niggly doubt.I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:0

I had the same for a watch, purposely chose a UK seller as I needed it in a hurry for work and it took over 2 weeks to come, then noticed seller was located in china. I always double check when items say they are in portsmoth, as I know a lot of chinese sellers state it, but the watch was supposedly in Hampshire so I didn't think to check until it was a week later and hadn't arrived.S.P.C member 1662 - target £3000
