New battery?

Well, I've got six vehicles, two that usually overwinter laid up, a couple of 12 v batteries I use to run various things in the workshop, and two more spare I keep charged all year.
The Aldi one works fine for these, and it's had the sort of use in a couple of years most people give them in a lifetime. I have to admit, I'm going to buy another to save moving it around as much.
I might take a punt on the Lidl one, but I doubt I'll be spending on a Ctek.0 -
If your OH is like me it isn't a trickle charger, it's an intelligent battery charger that measures the battery performance and charges appropriately - wouldn't NOT have one for the bike (especially as it's a 1200cc twin so needs a good battery to make sure it starts easily)
No clue, I will ask him when he comes home from his bike ride:rotfl:
He has a 1100cc bike (I think - called Tina as it's a blackbird!) so you could well be right.

forget the readings how many time has it run flat?Is there life in this old dog yet?
I left my sidelights for 6 hours and had a flat battery. AA came out and restarted me but said I need a new battery as the current one is original (car reg. dec 05).
He tested it and gave me the reading:
volts 12.61
measured 250 CCA
rating 390 CCA
quoted almost £80 for new battery but local supplier £45.
Thanks
if more then 2 change it0 -

Define best. They are both smart chargers with almost identical specs.
Is it worth paying an extra £ to get two more years warranty?
The Lidl one has easily detachable battery clamps similar to the CTEK and may even come off the same production line.
Neither is good enough for our two brand snob posters above! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
