  • Bexi - have you actually posted a SOA so that people can help you to cut down spends?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

I'm both if that makes sense! I love money saving and looking out for the best bargains and buy value brands and whoopsies to make our food budget stretch further, so I am conscious of money but I can't resist a good deal and sometimes spend more than I meant to!

My husband is money conscious, he's the practical one asking, "do we really need that?" He keeps me balanced.

There are things we agree on, we recently used a higher than usual staff discount at work to start stocking up our store cupboard.

Yeah done it a few times.
It's not me that's the spender in my household.

    I think it is, yes.

Spending is like smoking. You can only give it up if you REALLY want to.

Mind if I use at as a signature? Its going to be my moto.

I'm something of both a spender and a hoarder. I will spend money one week and then flagellate myself the next. For instance, I took out an Amazon card at the beginning of the year...just to make it convenient when buying books and things...so far, its been an absolute disaster...I've run up a bill of £4416! Worse yet, in April 2013, I finally finish a 3 year sentence with HSBC paying off the last credit card I promised would be the very last one ever! I could kick myself. I've spent the last few weeks telling myself what a twit I've been too.

Well, I definately mean it now...honest...truly...

I used to be a spender. Now I'm the one who really watches what is spent. MrsLA just isn't interested in family and household finance. She is very good at earning it though:).
  • I was a spender - now I am money conscious. :)

What makes you change from a spender to a saver?

Is it just a case of having a LBM?

That and the fact that we don't have a cushion to fall back on or a safety net, i.e. overdraft or credit card. We have no choice but to save up for things.

What a great feeling it is! :j
  • My other half is still a spender and i have to keep a tight old on the finances to stop him blowing budgets.....a case of lagers here, a take out there he just doesn't see how it adds up. I used to be a spender but now am determined to clear our debt.....although i have the occasional blowout!
