Need car insurance advice
Hi,
Me and my partner are cutting down to one car, because we cant afford to run two. As we are getting rid of my car I want to become an additional driver on my partners insurance. But I have two years NCB and don't want to lose this, I have no idea how I can keep this as only an additional driver. Can anyone help please

NCD is usually valid for 2 years. So keep any paperwork you have confirming you have 2 years NCD and you can rely on it if you get your own policy again within the next 2 years.
Some insurers allow named drivers to earn NCD, but generally it will only be recognised by that same insurer, not all other insurers. So it ties you in to buying a policy from them when you decide to go it alone if you want the NCD status.0 -
Just alternate whose name the policy is in every one or two years. That way neither of you will lose your no claims bonus.0
