Not unless its a joint account?

This is very common with credit cards but I haven't seen it done with debit cards without it being a joint account.

    Ask Lloyds?

If it's for emergency use, why not go for the additional holder on credit card approach?

Bank accounts have to be joint for two cards. Credit card accounts work differently so she it is possible to have a card on your account if that's any good?

I've got 3 active cards for my (single) Lloyds account.

One's in the glovebox of my car, one's in my wallet, one's in the safe in the office, all work (I change them around every now and again). We did an upgrade, then a downgrade 2 months later.

Thanks CK for your reply but what do you mean by upgrade and downgrade?

You've got the gold account at the moment, so downgrade for long enough for the card to come through and then upgrade when it's arrived.

You might end up with two cards, but it's still against the terms and conditions to give one to someone else, and you won't be covered if they run off with all your money.
