DFS sent the wrong sofa!! Now we've been with no sofa for a month!!

me and my partner ordered a sofa from DFS a while back (august-ish) and when we did, they told us that the sofa would be delivered on the 13th September when they did delivery us our sofa they sent us the completely wrong sofa colour and size!!? so then they told us sorry there's been a mix-up in the warehouse its not their fault, but we will get our sofa before the end of the month guaranteed. So it gets to the end of the month still no sofa so we ring them, nobody has got a clue where our sofa is so then they said they will ring us back tomorrow, no one rings so we have to ring them again on a very expensive line, this goes on for a few days back and forward them saying they are going to ring us and they never do, finally after a ridiculous amount of phone calls, that's us ringing them every time because they never ring us when they say they will! they say that our sofa is going to be with us on Tuesday 2nd October, this date comes no phone calls nothing, so we ring them again! they have not got a clue where our sofa is!? so they say there ring back... they never do! now finally they say our sofa is going to be with us on friday 5th october....lets see if that happens!?

sorry for the essay but does anybody know if we are entitled to compensation or can get any money back first of they offered us £30!! but that doesn't even cover the wages for taking the morning off for the sofa to be delivered so they went up to £45. now they've offered another £45 what totals to £90 after another couple of mishaps have happened and us calling them endless amount of times! but seriously I don't think it is enough after we have given them a £1000 as they wanted payment before the sofa got brought into our home and we've been sofa-less for nearly a month now and the amount of phone calls we have had to make because they never ring us when they say they will!!? and what makes it more of an even bigger joke that they say "we're sorry it isnt our fault its the factorys fault"!!

please please please can somebody just give us some sort of advice or something thank you my girlfriend has been brought to tears through frustration of endless amount of phone calls and lies, sorry for the rant but if i ran a business like this i would be ashamed, thanks
