I have a HP Photosmart 7550. I've been successfully printing lovely crisp photo's on the same paper and using the same camera for over 3 years.
But today I am printing some photos for the first time in 6 months (trying to catch up) and I've wasted 6 sheets worth already
I've been using HP Album printing and the pictures are coming out dull and pixelated. Almost like when I took the photo the room was far too dark and the setting on the camera was for a low res.
I've also tried printing some photos I took yesterday and they are the same, quite faded and blurry this time, like low res.
I've checked my camera and I have it on the highest compression and the highest res.
The print cartridges are virtually brand new and are very nearly full.
It's almost like maybe when it's printing it's not using the photo cartridge and maybe just using the colour cartridge. Is this possible? I've checked all the settings but can't see anything. Any ideas at all?

Have you tried the cleaning utility for the printer, and if you havent used it for a while the ink may have dried on the print heads or the cartridge heads themselves. I thing a good clean will sort your problem, i usually use some tissue with warm water to clean the cartridge where the ink comes out
I have nothing better to do!!!!
