what to do to save my no claims?

Hi everyone, this is my first post, so i hope its ok.
Our car insurance is due.
my wife has 4 years no claims, and i am on her policy as a second driver. we have now got only one car.
Previously we had three cars. about 18 months ago i had my own policy with 7 or 8 years no claims, but then sold the car.
the third car was also mine, under a different policy which i think had 3 years no claims on it, something like that.
Now we have sold the 2nd and 3rd cars, and the insurance on the first is due, is there some way i can keep my no claims, preferably the longest one of 7 or 8 years, though that policy ended about 18 months ago.
I am sick at the moment so we only need the one car, but im hoping to get better, and when i do get myself a car to get to work and back. I'll need my own no claims ideally.
Thanks
Joel

To keep two alive you can just alternate each year who the policyholder is and thus who's NCD is used0

Most insurers accept up to 2 years old, just check before buying!0
