Hi Scuff how's it going in Scuffland?

Bought some Cadburys Roses rom Asda earlier for £2 and felt really guilty because you refused to buy choc for a month!!

It's going good :) well, not exciting in any way shape or form and I need some more sneaky pennies so I can feel like it's worth it, but it's good!
And don't worry, Mon, Tues and Thurs this week I've had a big £1 bar of choc. By which I mean 3 bars total... I've well and truly dived off that wagon!

Has your total towards house deposit gone up?!? Think it was £600 last time I saw :T:T
  • I love cleaning too... Thought I was the only one!

haha yeah it goes up £200 every month without any effort,we've got a standing order set up from the joint account so we both effectively pay 100 each. This definitely needs upping though, at this rate it'll be like EIGHT YEARS till we get a deposit together :rotfl:

Not posted properly in a while, mainly cos I'ven ot had anything to post about MSE wise haha. Looking at my list below I have a weekend of 'fun' ahead of me!
Finding motivation a bit low lately, so I've made my list of things I want done BY THE END OF THE WEEK (SUNDAY) OR ELSE, rather than just for tomorrow:

-Finish drawer fronts and put back together
-Sort / put everything back into drawers
    -Finish ironing
    -Empty washbasket
-Find something to wear for fancy dress on Sat (hoping I can do something jazzy with my hair now it's super short :D) In progress, think I'm going werewolf
-Get a new headlight bulb (this one has to be done tomorrow) !!!!!!
    -Clean hamster
    -Put some more eBay on
-Go to Meadowhall (ok ok this isn't MSE but I'm just adding it to my list cos I know I'm going and it sounds a lot more exciting than most of the others!!!!!)
    -Tidy desk
    [STRIKE]-Make cookies :D[/STRIKE]

If I added 'eat cookies' onto that list I'd have two items crossed off :o

Paid off my ebay fees yesterday thanks to Ladybird for her help :D and transferred the 79p that was left in Paypal over to OD1. Need to update sigs and graph but will do that in a bit, my mum announced today that she's coming over after we go out tomorrow morning, and the flat is not in the slightest ready for any visitors, let alone my super picky mum!! She'll have a fit! So at a time where I should be out partying I'm going to go mini blitz the house, and maybe hoover in the morning before I go out
Pretty sure nothing else MSE has happened in Scuffland. Busy week next week at work which should mean some overtime, looking forward to the money but not the 12 hour long days that come before it!! xx

Oh, and I have a confession, got a text from Next saying that my items are ready to be picked up from store, then I remembered that I'd done some secret middle of the night sale shopping which I'd managed to forget about (they're for Christmas / birthday presents so slightly excusable) but this shows how all my money went, because as I said I'd completely forgotten about them.
This then meant I remembered I also have money outstanding on my Next account :( so I guess I'll add this to my totals, and use some of OD1s money to pay it off as the interest is superhigh. It's not a massive amount, £60 or something like that (I know I know I'll check the actual amount after I've tidied, old Scuff is having a mild reappearance!)

Turns out having a nap at half 5 when you get in from work, and waking up at half 11 ruins any chance of a night's sleep. Most of the cleaning is done, and I'm starting to think there's no point going to bed now! Mum's picking me up at around 9ish so I'll be up again in 2 hours. Chances are, half 8 I'll spontaneously fall asleep! Checked through my accounts, made a 99p oddpence payment to OD1. CC minimum payment is £14.63 on 19th and phone bill £29.82 on 9th. Was going to pay CC tonight but my current account website now won't load so will do that tomorrow. Counted out 5p jar (mine) and copper jar (joint). There was £14.95(!!!) in my 5p jar, cue me crawling round the flat loking for a spare 5p haha. Gave up the hunt, decided to count out joint coppers (£3-something in total so just chucked it all back in) and found in there A 5P!!!!!! Woopwoop so depending on what time the bank's open tomorrow going to put that towards OD1. Still need to a) find out how much Next is & b) pay it off!! There's also £20.15 interest to go onto OD1 :( feel like I'm chasing my tail!!!! But at least there's no charges :D
Before I started on debtbusting I ordered some Avon through my Auntie, only just seen her so owe her for that, OH tutted at me spending £32 on Avon but I claim the excuse that it was ordered BEFORE, plus half of it's Christmas presents and so to good use. Definitely going to set up a 'Christmas fund' for next year! Should get my £300 vouchers next week, other people at work have got theirs but my manager is on holiday at the mo so I have to wait!! Too impatient for that :rotfl:
Right, off to put some washing in, at half 5 in the morning, as you do...

Yup, still up :wave:showered and dressed and ready for the 'day' ahead. I'm so confused :o Especially as my 'nap' was pretty much a full night's sleep (6 hours ), just at the wrong time! So now it feels like early afternoon  haha. Hope you have a good weekend and feel better soon!!

Fingers crossed I'll keep a rein on my purse strings - this shopping trip is the first 'test' I've had on my resolve!!
