Barclaycard paying at bank

Made my payment to my Barclaycard over the counter in a Barclays Bank. The teller said it would reach the account by the end of the day. (This was Monday, 2 days ago)
It's now Weds and it still is not showing? Why?
I can pay into my branch, not Barclays, go home and make an Internet payment quicker. It would show 2 hours after paument.
What's the delay here?
