When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

Morning, hope you're all chipper! :j to hump day :D

Small things:

* [STRIKE]check banking[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]call water board and advise of moving[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]all meals from stores, chicken out of freezer for dinner, oh lo for lunc[/STRIKE]h
* [STRIKE]check onepoll[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]read martin's email [/STRIKE]
* do gas & elec search for new property
[STRIKE]* pack up food not going to use - tins ect[/STRIKE]
* add travel ins to the list of peeps we need to tell about the move
[STRIKE]* NSD[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* going to committee meeting this evening so that should keep me out of spending's way![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* go for a walk at lunchtime and pay in cheque received from [/STRIKE][STRIKE]
extra ppi :j[/STRIKE]

* filled in council tax moving house form
* [STRIKE]infomed water board moving and set up new account[/STRIKE]

ok that's my lot I think! Have a great day

lol not sure which catagory I come under! :rotfl:

Stitchy sorry I didn't reply to your question yesterday :o sewing group went very well, but I am very slow. I measured myself, cut out my pattern and am now pinning it to the materiel. Would like to do some at home but the teacher says no. I think it may take me the whole course to make 1 dress!

I am now going to do a few projects at home, once the moving madness settles. I am going to make a quilt for my bff's little bundle of joy/my niece or nephew and I have seen a couple of projects I am keen on. Am sure its going to be slow going though!

Think it'll e years before I reach your lofty heights and more realistically I will never have yoru talent! But a girl can dream eh??? :rotfl:

  • DNM thanks for the thread as always a good un!

Ok so its the usual for me I'm afraid its boring but necessary

    Banks
    CC's
HM brekkie and lunch and tea
Work to crack on with, lots of paperwork.
Probably time for a blog post - been ages
At home - pictures up at least some of them
Walk el woofo's somewhere local or at least on route to somewhere to save petrol
Deliver some stuff to town for work and do any 'town' things then.
    Unpack some bags
Put council tax stuff back to council - will be passing so save a stamp :)
Finish off PVG form and put that away for new post :)

Not much today - got a fair bit of paperwork to catch up on - the joys of self employment!

    Have a good un.
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Morning All - thanks for starting us off DNMS and hello to everyone :j Today I'm very :D as I have 3 days off work - I have only had one week off all year since Jan and really need it :) Have loads to do though so I'm on here to keep me on the straight and narrow:
    • Tea from stores
    • menu plan for next week
    • get in garage and sort all baby clothes into ages (they were like this until we had a mouse infestation and they all had to be washed and a few discarded :o)
    • Gather things to pack hospital bag
    • after doing 2 above - make list of anything I may need - hopefully it will be blank :o
    • List somethings on fleabay
    • see if I can find some more things Zapper will take to take my amount to over £10
    • Text friend about collecting my carpet cleaner, so I can clean the carpets in the spare room and DD room
    • Clean above carpets if I can collect today
    • Try and take 2 unwanted gifts back for a refund
Ok - just realised this list is large and some time consuming things on there - may roll some over until tomorrow ;)

    have a good day everyone:)

    - food from stores

    - transfer any money spent today from christmas account
    - check linked in
    - coins to their various pots
    - write down spends
    - log calories
    - must try and do some exercise today, its been a while

Think that is all for me!
    Have a great day lovelies!
